February 14, 2023

Cydney K. Seigerman (PhD candidate, ICON & Anthropology) recently visited the Residential College (RC) at the University of Michigan, where they gave the Robertson Memorial Lecture and spent several days as a resident scholar. The Robertson Lecture is an annual event at the RC that honors Professor James H. Robertson and Jean B. Robertson, the first Dean of the RC and his wife, respectively. Cydney’s lecture discussed the interdisciplinarity of Cydney’s research and artistic work. During their visit to the RC, Cydney also met with faculty and students and gave guest lectures in various Spanish classes, which included a mini theatre workshop in one of the Intensive Spanish classes and a lecture on the Landless Workers Movement in Brazil.
