Asif Ali Sandeelo who is fourth year PhD student at Integrative Conservation (ICON) and Anthropology program at UGA has received Dissertation Fieldwork Grant from the Wenner-Gren Foundation for his project titled “The Political Bird: Elite Falconry, Wildlife Laws, and the Marginalized Communities of Sindh, Pakistan.” This project explores the interface of politics and multispecies relations and their impact on state sovereignty and marginalized communities through an ethnographic study of elite falconry.
