Focus:
My background includes ecology and conservation research on how mammal & bird populations respond to human impacts. While working in threatened Peruvian and Costa Rican rainforests, I became interested in integrating local people’s voices and interests with wildlife conservation. My PhD research will aim to make community conservation in Latin American rainforests more inclusive and effective, by focusing on how local involvement with conservation projects impacts both the project’s outcome and the community.
