We are thrilled to announce the transition from our current director, Dr. Laura German, to our new director, Dr. Elizabeth “Lizzie” King. Dr. King is an Associate Professor in the Odum School of Ecology and the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources. She has been an integral member of CICR and the ICON PhD Program since arriving at UGA in 2012, and we are delighted that she has agreed to serve in this new capacity. King will begin her tenure as director effective July 1, 2026.
